Privacy Policy

Wheredl is a daily city guessing game. This policy explains what we store and why. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the game.
Stored on your device
Your daily streak, the cards you have earned, your chosen theme, and whether you have seen the intro are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us unless you sign in.
If you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional and only used to sync your card collection across devices. We receive your name and email address from Google, and we store your game results (city, score, date) so your collection is available when you sign in elsewhere. We never see your Google password.
Aggregate stats
We keep anonymous daily totals (how many people played, solved the city, and the spread of scores) to show community stats. These cannot be traced back to an individual.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as how many people play and which pages they visit. It uses cookies and collects anonymised usage data. You can opt out through your browser settings or Google's opt-out tools.
Service providers
The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services, sign-in uses Google, and analytics is provided by Google. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Your choices
You can play without an account. You can clear local data any time by clearing your browser storage. To delete an account and its saved data, contact us at [your email].
